Welcome to the Lubbock Gem and Mineral Society's Home on the Internet!

ue to the Holiday and scheduling conflicts, we will hold our General membership meeting and our Board meeting on July 11th at the church, rather than moving them both back a week. All members are welcome at both meetings.

The Lubbock Gem and Mineral Society was formed in 1958 by a group of rock hounds that wanted to bring about a closer association of those persons interested in the Earth Sciences and Lapidary Arts; to increase and disseminate knowledge about rocks, minerals, fossils and other geological materials; to encourage the study of rocks, minerals, fossils, artifacts, collecting and lapidary work and to conduct meetings, lectures, displays and field trips.
